Hi, I’m Wendy. When I’m not practicing or teaching yoga I love to spend time with my family, travel, read and play golf. I recently moved to Fresno and am so grateful to have found such a welcoming community at Old Town Yoga.
I began my yoga journey in 2010. I had some injuries that were keeping me from being as active as I wanted to be so I turned to yoga hoping to find some relief. With practice I immediately began to feel more at ease in my body. My shoulders relaxed and I paid more attention to my posture. I began to stand a little taller and move with more ease throughout my day. During my practice the focus on my breath, the way I was moving my body and the attention needed for balancing postures allowed me to quiet my mind- what a relief! I quickly knew that yoga would always be a part of my life.
As a yoga teacher I am passionate about sharing the benefits of yoga with others. I believe yoga is for everyone and every body type. It’s so much more than the pose and can be practiced in many different ways. My hope is that I can help others find the comfort, challenge and peace of mind that comes with a yoga practice that is unique to the practitioner. I can’t wait to explore with you!
