Why We’re Here.
Old Town Yoga was born out of a longing to connect more deeply. Desiree, studio founder and instructor, began her yoga practice at home with online classes. As she fell in love with yoga she began to search for a local studio where she could grow her practice and connect with like-minded people. She struggled to find a studio that was friendly, convenient and affordable, so after becoming a yoga instructor she decided to open the studio she always dreamed of being a student at herself. Her vision is to provide the community with a studio that is inclusive and motivating. Old Town Yoga's environment fosters a sense of connection and empowerment, with classes that will challenge, but also encourage students to reach potentials they are not even aware of.
Our Team
Each member of the Old Town Yoga team has a deep love for community and connection. They also happen to be the most experienced and skilled yoga teachers around.

Unless it is otherwise specified, the classes offered will be a combination of Vinyasa flows and Power Yoga. Vinyasa yoga is characterized by continuous movements, particularly including vinyasas (a series of four poses) to connect other sections of movement in the class. Sun Salutations are a common component of Vinyasa Yoga, especially for the warm up. Power Yoga is characterized by long holds aimed at building strength, mentally and physically.
-
DEFINITELY COME! In yoga we work on improving flexibility (passive stretching) and mobility (active stretching). Improving your mobility is one of the fastest ways to improve your physical quality of life because it will allow you to do daily functional tasks more easily.

It is critical that you take responsibility for your own well being not only in yoga classes, but in life. Regardless of what a teacher suggests for a pose or sequence, always remember that you are the best expert on your own body. If it does not feel right, do NOT do it. You are encouraged to communicate with your teachers to request suggestions for modifications. However, our teachers are not medical professionals and will not provide medical advice in any capacity.
